Traina Foods Peach and Pecan Anytime Bread
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup wheat white flour blend
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup applesauce
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons fresh orange zest
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup Traina California Sun Dried Peach Halves, chopped
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Coat a 9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and/or line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a separate large bowl, whisk the sugar, applesauce, egg, vanilla extract and orange zest. Slowly stir in the flour mixture, adding small amounts of the buttermilk alternately until well combined
Fold in California Sun Dried Peaches and pecans.
Pour dough into the loaf pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Bread is done when the top is golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let rest in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to cooking
