They have a tart flavor with a dark purple in color.  The cherries earthy flavor makes them a perfect ingredient for both sweet and savory dishes. Use cherries in pastry, custard, chutneys and dessert sauce.  Works well with venison, duck and pork dishes.

      Nice and soft but very little taste and not at all sweet. Confused by other reviews. Apricots really nice though.
